The Velez Organization is on the project team representing the Hudson River Park Trust to complete Segment Three of the development of the Hudson River Esplanade. The desing emphasizes the environment, active recreation and small boating opportunities. It also focuses on the Hudson River itself.
Among its features are:
- The complete reconstrucion of Pier 25
- The complete reconstruction of Pier 26
- The construction of an upland park and public esplanade, including a habitat planning zone, lawns, seating areas, overlooks, a skate park, a mini golf course, volley ball courts, basketball courts, and other recreational characteristics.
