Velez completed numerous high end renovations for Con Edison at their Manhattan offices:
Main Auditorium: Complete renovation and modernization of the 19th Floor Auditorium at Con Edison’s World Headquarters. The work included a new Audio Visual center, a three movie screen stage, ADA compliance, new bathrooms, and support spaces. All mechanical, electrical/data/audio visual, and fire safety issues were upgraded. The project was completed in time for ConEd’s 2001 shareholders meeting - an important milestone as it was the first time the meeting was held at the headquarters in recent company history. The value of the project was $2 million, and was completed in 2000.
Control Room: New Control Room servicing the Metropolitan area used to monitor all utility activity. The work involved the creation of a high technology Control Room including substantial data and electrical lines, millwork, glass interior partitions, mechanical and fire safety upgrades. The value of the project was $5 million, and was completed in 2000
Strategic Operations Room:
High end interior renovation of the 16th Chief Executive Floor at Con Edison’s World Headquarters. Work involved substantial finish work, millwork, glass interior partitions, and mechanical, plumbing, electrical upgrades.
