| Police Athletic League Community Center - Central Harlem |
The Velez Organization completed the new construction of the $10 million Central Harlem Police Athletic League Community Center. This state of the art facility was designed for educational and developmental programs for inner City youth. The 38,000 s.f. award winning building is intentionally non-institutional with bold, appealing design. The interior is organized around a breathtaking two story atrium, a full-size gymnasium, dance rooms, boxing ring, lockers, cafeteria, weight room, classrooms, and more. The Police Athletic League Central Harlem Center received the NYC Fine Arts Award for Design Excellence at City Hall. .
