The Velez Organization provided owners representative services for the new construction the Bronx campus of Boricua College. Boricua College is embarking on one of its most exciting ventures in the history of the College - the development of the Bronx Campus Project at Boricua Village. The new, state of the art campus building will encompass fourteen floors with approximately 120,000 square feet of office space for academic, administrative and student services. Moreover, the project will include 2,200 square feet for a museum and cultural center, a 350 seat theatre/auditorium, two computer and two science labs, small colloquium classrooms, larger classroom, library and reading rooms, film, dance, art and physical development workshop rooms. The projected cost of the new campus is $44 million, excluding furniture, fit-out and equipment. The new campus will be located at 161st Street between Washington and Brook Avenue(s), Bronx, New York.
Velez has assisted Boricua with overall construction management and occupancy coordination, as well as budgeting as it relates to furniture, fixtures and equipment.
